Artists Statement:

I paint humans more often than landscapes. You could describe my art as representational with a dash of abstraction. I continue to explore new brush and knife techniques as well as new mediums (like cold wax and gels) along with new color combinations . I have also begun to experiment with watercolor.  I use these different mediums and styles because I try to match my technique in each piece to the subject matter and how I see it painted.

Right now, I currently serve on the Board of the Columbia Art League. Until 2017, I was an MU law professor and before that a civil rights attorney at the Department of Justice.
