75th Year Celebrating Missouri Towns

Join us at Orr Street Studios on Friday, April 5th from 6-9PM for the opening reception of “Missouri Photo Workshop: 75th Anniversary” during our monthly First Friday event. Free and open to the public.

This year the Missouri Photo Workshop celebrates its 75th Anniversary. Each year since 1949 about 40 photographers from around the country and the world have spent one week photographing life in a small Missouri town. Over seven decades, this tradition has created one of the greatest collections of photographs of rural America. 

From the Ozark Plateau, the riverbanks of the Missouri and Mississippi, the famous Bootheel in the southeast and the drier plains of the north, Missouri itself represents the varied geographical aspects of the Heartland.
