Our current exhibit is The Missouri Photo Workshop. This year the Missouri Photo Workshop celebrates its 75th Anniversary. Each year since 1949 about 40 photographers from around the country and the world have spent one week photographing life in a small Missouri town.

Join us for our 2nd annual Business Expo and Fashion Show featuring local designers and small business owners of color! FREE

This event was packed last year, and a true celebration of all the creativity and ingenuity of our local creatives. Connect and inspire each other while experiencing the art on the walls, “The Color Black”, learning about resources and watching all local models showing incredible local fashion.

This event is first come first serve, last year we did run out of room inside the building, but we are planning on adding an outside version to the show so that everyone can take part.

Brought to you by an incredible team which include Orr Street Studios, Ronecia Duke, DJ Kareem, Jonathan Asher, TK Thomas, Omni the Artist, Soul Sessions, Matt Warren, VidWest.

Special Visions: George & Esohe Galbreath Book Signing & Presentation

Join us at Orr and discover the fascinating 30 year journey of George & Esohe Galbreath of Atlanta as they gathered one of the largest collections of black art. Their coffee table book, “ The Galbreath Collection: A Decade of Collecting Atlanta shares a gorgeous tale of discovering art by artists of color, the thrill, and the work of bringing these artists the recognition they deserve. The 176-page book features over 100 artwork images from nearly 70 artists.

This event is a part of our Hearing Voices/Seeing Visions monthly gatherings where we experience presentations by authors, artists, musicians and dancers. This is a free event, and light refreshments will be served. Event is 7-9 pm.

Join us for First Friday, and our new show! Friday, December 1st, 6-9. This show runs through December 29th.

The Orr Street Studios are proud to present the artwork of its very own artists in December. The creations of Orr Street tenants, residents, and board member artists will be on exhibit and available to purchase for gift giving.

We are also pleased to announce that music will be provided by the Myra Fox and Robyne Sieh.

The Orr Street Studios welcome fellow fine art aficionados. Brought to you by the funding of Columbia's Office of Cultural Affairs.

Join us at Orr Street Studios for our second annual photos with Santa, to benefit our local fellow non-profit, Junior Achievement! Show up and get your holiday selfies in with Santa and Mrs. Claus November 17th from 4-8. Serving hot cocoa and sharing fun holiday activities for your littles, it’s an affordable way to get in the holiday spirit, with time to order those photo cards to send to your friends and family. $10 donation requested. All proceeds go to Junior Achievement!

Join us for our Masquerade Ball! Wear a costume and party with us Orrsters! Live music by the "Mr. Fun" band. Dancing, silent auction, heavy Hors D’oeuvres and libations provided with your ticket price.

Tickets are $35 or two tickets for $60.

Costumes not required but encouraged.

One Read Gallery Show "Unearthed"

Join Orr Street Studios and the Daniel Boone Regional Library as we present the art of many local artists at the One Read Show! An opening reception will take place at First Friday, September 1st 6-9pm.

Inspired by this year’s One Read book, “When Two Feathers Fell From the Sky,” we invited Mid-Missouri artists ages 16 and older to contribute works for our 2023 exhibition, “Unearthed.” Works explore the revelation of something buried or hidden, capture the idea of discovery, or bring to light something previously held in darkness.

Cash prizes will be awarded for three winners, sponsored by City of Columbia- Office of Cultural Affairs. The third place winner will receive $50, second place $75 and first place $125.

Join us later in the evening with Soul Sessions CoMo from 9-11!

Join Orr Street Studios as we present the art of Anthea Rackley. An opening reception will take place at First Friday, August 4th 6-9pm.

The Fabulous Molly Healey will be providing beautiful music!

ARTIST BIO
Anthea Rackley (they/them) has lived in Missouri their whole life and discovered an interest in the visual arts from a very early age. They studied at Columbia College, achieving a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing. Although that subject was their main focus, Anthea has had interest in a variety of artistic media, such as graphic design, fiber arts, and collage.

Currently in their work post graduation, Anthea is furthering their skills in various mixed media to explore more non-objective/abstract art, as well as continuing to expand their body of work pertaining to personalized spaces and interiors that was started in their BFA thesis.
