Medium work with: Linocut prints, acrylic, watercolor, ink

Artist Statement:

I am not a formally trained artist, with my education terminating after one drawing for

non-majors class in college, but I’ve explored and practiced and improved on my own

over time. Through this exploration I found my own style, primarily abstracted natural

themes and purely abstract compositions, and methods, linocut printmaking, painting in

acrylic and watercolor, and ink drawings.

I also occasionally create digital compositions from my analog art, which allow me to

play with composition, repetition, and design generally. 

Two of the philosophies that I hold in life and art are:

1) We don’t have to just do or be one thing, and it would be pretty boring if we all did

and were.

2) There are very few absolutes in life, don’t act like there aren’t.
